You can get a similar result using a decades old feature: socks5 proxy. ssh -D 5555 remotehost
will open a socks5 proxy on your local machine that will tunnel all traffic over ssh and out through the remote host. Configuring your browser or computer to use it is similar to routing traffic through a WireGuard peer. I used to use this allllll the time, but then started using sshuttle instead. https://github.com/sshuttle/sshuttle

It happens to us all to have good ideas but unfortunately we don't always have the time or the ability to realize them...
Instead of these ideas getting lost or dying we can share them and maybe they will be heard by someone in the free software community who is in need of inspiration but has the time and ability to realize them. ๐ค
