Trump was questioned immediately on his rhetoric about race during a tense appearance at a Black journalists’ conference, where the audience at times gasped and scoffed at his remarks.

Edit: Added long form archive link since the short link was giving me issues.

Some choice quotes:

ABC’s Rachel Scott fact checks Trump as he questions whether Harris passed the bar exam. “She passed it,” Scott says.

ABC's Rachel Scott asked, “My question is on those rioters who assaulted officers. Would you pardon those people?” And Trump replied without hesitation, “Oh absolutely, I would.”

Trump repeats his false claim he makes frequently, that abortion access advocates want to perform the procedure after the birth of the child. The comment prompts pushback from the interviewers, who note “that’s illegal in all 50 states.”

Amazing that Trump seemingly cannot fathom that someone could be multiracial.

“that’s illegal in all 50 states.”

But in DC it's fine?

Sort of hilarious just how bad that is, and was entirely expected given the uproar over his invitation.

I want to believe this will remove the plausibility deniability for at least some voters and tank his chances, but. I’ve believed that before.

Trump and his supporters want clarification on which racial epitaphs to use.
