Edit: Guys, watch the video. He clearly said “college.” I am sorry for posting misinformation; I didn’t watch the video first, and just assumed it was legit 😕.

They know they done bad. They're already claiming everyone misheard him and that he didn't really say "colored". They claim he said "college".

From Raw Story, "Fox News has asserted that Kilmeade simply didn't speak clearly and he in fact said "a college sorority."

By the time The Independent was looking into it, the Fox statement was that news has “completely misquoted and unnecessarily maligned Brian Kilmeade who clearly said college sorority.

They're escalating into another indignant outrage that they're right and everyone else is wrong.

I hate Fox News. I think they are a joke masquerading as news and mostly serve to fuel misinformation, fear, and hate. I have no doubt that a significant number of their staff members are incredibly racist, overtly and covertly. I don't know enough about Kilmeade to know for sure where he sits there, but I definitely think being a Fox host is already a pretty big red flag on the "are you a racist" test.

But... I have to be honest on this one, I hear him say "college."

Unless you hear him pronouncing it with a hard G, I don't know how you can hear college. It ends with a hard sound (voiced plosvie).

To me it actually sounds like co-ed because there's definitely a c/k at the start and d at the end, and a blustering moron's mouth noises in the middle, but I don't see how they get from that to college and I do see how you get from that to coloured. Why he wouldn't own "co-ed" I don't know because sounding like a behind the times old white dude is very much their brand

it sounds to me like he started to say one thing and then changed mid word. Perhaps he realized he was about to say something stupid, or perhaps he just bobbled it.

Well, for starters, "college" uses a soft g sound.

Uh, yeah. And there's absolutely no soft g sound in what he says. The word clearly ends in a hard sound.

I came here specifically to say this. I didn’t even watch the video before posting this, just assumed he was being Brian Kilmeade, but now that I’ve listened to it, he clearly said “college.”
