Longboarding
This is a community for all longboarders. Be it downhill, tricking or just using it for commuting.
E-boarders and skateboarders are welcome as well!
Damn, that looks pretty close to ideal. Thanks! Not sure if I should go with 34" or 37" though. Might hit up the nearest skate shop to see if they have something similar I can try out.
34 isn't really a longboard but I like mine, go with that 37 or maybe the Breach Foundation if you don't mind a small nose and want a proper longboard. Maybe a Landyachtz Coffin XL?
Yeah I found out the hard way but I like it too much to return it. Maybe I'll buy the 37 or something else later on.
Loaded boards do cruisers too, along with a ton of other formats. They also own ( I think) Orangatang who does bushings and wheels.
I personally roll a Land Yachtz board with Paris trucks and 80 mm Kegel wheels by Orangatang. Even without ceramic bearings, the thing rolls for days.
I definitely recommend Pantheon as well, they make some beautiful boards
You're the second to recommend Pantheon, they look cool but aren't really the shape I'm looking for.
I’m way too late to this party. I got a Zenit Morning Wood while reducing my quiver as my grocery-getter/punptrack/cruiser board and it’s amazing! Not cramped like a street deck but I guess if I pulled myself together I could re-learn an Ollie on it.
That does look nice, thanks for the suggestion!

I can't recommend a Pantheon Pranayama enough. Perfect board for commuting and the wheel size means you coast for quite a while and roll over cracks. It runs with a True Kingpin(TKP) setup instead of a Reverse Kingpin(RKP). All skateboards are TKP so it translates well coming from skating a street deck to one of these. Wheel and truck sizing are super important due to the way the board is designed, but I find 80-85mm wheels with 149mm trucks are ideal. It doesn't have a kick tail so tricks aren't really an option and you'll bottom out going over speed bumps, but it more than makes up for it in cruisability. In the three years I've owned mine, I've put close to 400 miles on mine. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, but I think that covers the basics
That looks pretty cool but isn't really the shape I'm looking for.
Might not be quite what you're looking for but Omen's top mount bamboo longboards have a bit of a kick at each end. Definitely not shaped like a traditional skateboard but they are symmetrical and make a good commuter board. I ride mine once in a while when I'm not riding a bike or driving to work.
Thanks, but I'm not sure that's quite what I'm looking for. Does look like a good commuter board though!
