General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(

I'm still surprised she's standing. Shameless.

From what I've heard she's been noticeably absent from the local campaign trail in her constituency. Even failed to turn up hustings and other big events. So she's shameless enough to stand but not to try and stand up for her record publicly.

I think shame is her kink. Have you heard the one about her slave collar necklace?

Won't someone please think of the unopened pork markets?!

They've got the big scissors ready and everything!

I'd place Sunak Johnson and Mogg above her. But she is high up the list.

I can see Mogg being a huge part of reforming the Tories as more right wing post a lost election. So losing his seat limits any thoughts of leadership.

I was hoping for IDS to be beaten, mainly for his part in the design of Universal Credit but it looks as if his constituency is, to quote The Thick Of It, built on a solid bed of cunts.

"Being more than twice as unpopular as Jacob Rees-Mogg takes some doing, frankly."

Gold. Pure gold.

Didn't she have literally one of the safest seats in the country? Lol

If she loses it's 100% certainty that she blames the deep state for election fraud. No way she takes her loss with good graces.

How about the whole Cabinet?
