€59.99 is a bit steep to be honest.

It's a short game with almost zero replayability as well.
A little disappointing but honestly not a shock.
I think TLOU has more people wary of Sony PC ports despite nixxes handling it and releasing the game at full price for a two year old port probably didn't help either. Plus R and C has always been a bit more niche series.
Hopefully this won't deter future releases and honestly I'm fully enjoying the game at full price since me and the wife have been long time fans of the series and all of you patient gamers, you'll have a good one on your hands.
I too have really been enjoying it. Having a good nvme drive has definitely helped in that regard
I really wish we could stop talking about concurrent players when talking about single player games, it's a weak (and mostly meaningless) metric.
But also this game felt like it got no marketing, and I don't think Ratchet and Clank is as well known as Uncharted or The Last of Us, so just on name recognition it was never going to pull the same numbers. Hopefully Sony doesn't stop the PC ports, because I'm loving the fact these games are finally on PC.
Right!
I remember seeing articles when the concurrent player base for Hogwarts drop down. Like no duh. It's a single player game with a finite number of quests. The concurrent player metric only matters when it's an online game and you need multiple people to play with.
Same with God of War (etc), i just have no investment in the franchise since none of the earlier ones were released on PC because Sony wanted the exclusivity. Now to PC gamers they release only the latest installment to an unfamiliar audience, years after the hype has burnt out, and everyone invested already had the chance to have played it? And they're surprised at a big "meh" response?
I like it but it's not that much fun. Usually I love getting home from work to play a new game but not with this one.
What don't you like about it? I've been enjoying the gameplay quite a bit. At least on the hardest difficulty it's really dynamic and you have to keep moving.
Honestly I'm not so sure. Gameplay feels a bit slugish, too many cutscenes in the first few hours so far especially because the story is so one dimensional. That's how I feel about it if I try to name it.
But hey that's good if you like it. Enjoy it.
Ah I totally get that. I definitely was not enjoying it as much in the beginning. I think the gameplay starts to pick up a bit more once you unlock more weapons though.
I played halfway through. I felt the game was repetitive.
Most people who wanted to play it, played it on PlayStation 5. You gotta simultaneous release.
I wonder if it being free on ps+ is having any effect. I had considered buying it on steam, but it being free on ps5 made that decision easy.
I don't think the overlap of those with PS5 and PC is that high. I think it's more the lack of marketing , $60 price tag, and being released 2 years later. It's also now competing with other triple a titles that have come out since then like Diablo 4. And other Sony exclusives on the PC that are now $20 or lower that those who are price sensitive can opt for instead getting multiple Sony exclusives for the price of one.
I haven't played Ratchet since I don't have a PS5, and I do want to play it. Just not for $60.
It can't possibly run well I heard them say it would ONLY run on a PS5! /s
It actually does run better on a PS5, particularly the rift transitions. It's still a pretty good experience as long as you have the game installed on an NVME drive, but you still get hitches during those rift sequences that are nonexistent on PS5.
