This is in regards to the N.R.A. bringing a suit against a NY official who had threatened banks and insurance companies in an effort to stop them from doing business with the N.R.A. after the Parkland shootings.

Customers and shareholders of those banks and insurance companies can put pressure on them to stop doing business with the N.R.A., but government officials, especially in official acts, cannot.

I'm sure if the details of this case were changed so that it took place in Texas, and instead of the N.R.A., it was Planned Parenthood... it would still be a unanimous opinion, right?

I've never seen that archive site, but it was loading way more data than that article should have taken up and even said so. Use archive.ph instead in future would be my advice. For this article: https://archive.ph/yYqG7

Archive today has been called out for creepy behavior by CloudFlare, so I don't like to use them if it can be avoided. I normally use the Internet Archive, but they have been getting paywalled by NYT recently while GhostArchive has kept working for me.

e; full disclosure, I don't know anything about the people behind GhostArchive, and frankly I don't know enough about computer networking yet to say if they're doing any creepy things, so it may very well be six of one and half a dozen of the other here

It is a disagreement between two entities (one large, one small) as to the use of EDNS, an extension to basic DNS, and is briefly outlined in Wikipedia. Using any other resolver, such as Quad9, instead of Cloudflare for your local DNS works as expected. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EDNS_Client_Subnet#Controversy_over_lack_of_support
