It's good as an addition to say a burger. Eating it straight? I want meat, not tiny thin meat strips.
Even adding it to a burger, I don't personally find it adds anything, maybe a crunch and some extra salt.
Back when I ate bacon, it was really good added to veggie burgers. I think because veggie burgers lacked fat and salt.
Nowadays bacon makes my insides very upset.
Somehow having a bacon veggie burger seems wrong. I hope the upset is just due to the lack of meat in your diet now, and not something serious.
Yeah, it's just because I've removed pig (and cow) from my diet, for environmental impact and cute cow video reasons. Had some really nice venison stroganoff last night, though. I grew up seeing too many roadkill deer to really feel for Bambi.
