With gaming often bringing me into a really depressive headspace sometimes with how the markets are developing, whats a game you can always go to and just be lost in, or just be happy with?

Personally i would go for advance wars 1 and 2 on the gba (there is no remake and never will be)

the artstyle, the music, the game-play is just simple, yet effective, a sublime experience of very fun times.

Whats yours?

lately: against the storm. making a city builder into a roguelite was genius.

Couldn't agree more, "genius" was exactly how I described it the first time I played it.

Oh snap, I hadn’t heard of Against the Storm but a roguelite city builder sounds so good

Oh man that is hard to put down.

I find it frustrating that I consistently fail to make proper industries for e.g. schools and raincoats. Once I'm a bit more in control of that, I'll probably be able to chill with it a bit more.

it's a mix of luck and good upgrade picking. some games you get all the widgets in place to get everything, some you have to barely scrape by. I think some tower upgrades make the higher level buildings more accessible though.

I saw this recommended earlier this week - it's on sale currently so I picked it up. Does anyone know if it works on the Deck?

It's playable, but I'd learn the controls and interface on a desktop or on a dock with peripherals plugged in first. It's built for a desktop experience right now, so things feel small on the handheld deck and the mapped controls are a little weird. That being said, I still enjoy it.

I have never heard of this game before your comment, now I'm staring at it wondering if I should get it. Currently busy enough with D4, but this looks interesting!
