Koby a fraud... Like he went back to rookie status for me. Hachinosu has no civilians. He was had by a rando. Very troupy too. After all the hype about fighting the Kuja Pirates... if Boa would have actually joined the fight, she would have put him on a t-shirt.
I think it works perfectly for him. He is still very naive and humble but his heart is in the right spot, kind of like Luffy used to be/still is. Thats why he is the future of the marines, he will grow more formidable but at the moment its just his core personality which is still in the making.
Despite that, the island seems to be full of heavy hitters so I think he holds himself quite well.
I agree with the statement that he is naive and also that he has to grow. Its disappointing to me that it was apparently just Koby sent to get Boa who is very strong, like take out 2 of Blackbeard's captains and entire army strong. I'm kinda lost on the match-up, especially if Koby is that naive- which Boa preys upon voraciously. Its kinda tough for me to just look at this piece and take it at face value when the characters have their own hierarchy within the verse.
