Sometimes you just have to take whatever space you can find! I shot these Pygmy Nuthatches over the holidays.

So much cuteness in such little bodies!

Idk how I went over half my life without paying much attention to birds, and then one day I suddenly realized that they're the coolest animals on the planet. We have multiple feeders up all around our property now, and we get really excited when we see a new type of bird. I guess that's just part of getting older?

Lol I always put it on my list of old people characteristics I now seem to have.

They are pretty great! They're a ton of kinds just about anywhere you go. They're generally not scary. They sing. Most would be considered pretty. They're dinosaurs. Some you can train or befriend. And a bunch more.

They can talk, and African Parrots are able to recognize individual letters and pull them out of a stack of letters!

Yeah it really stuck with me. When people think of smart birds it’s usually parrot and crow families, and definitely not pigeons.

Well, seeing what passes for pigeon nests, menu aren't going to have very high expectations for intelligence afterwards! 🤣
