Travel to work today was running the gauntlet of red traffic accident icons and red lines on Google Maps

Time outside of peak is 26 minutes. Time in normal peak is 36 minutes. Today was 48 minutes, and thank dog I left home early this morning or I'd still be in it I think. Was getting worse by the minute. Watched my normal route have a 12 minute delay which turned to 15 minute before I opted to take the back way (along with everyone else apparently).

Two drips of rain and all the tailgaters find out just how little headroom they had for braking distances.

I'm an early starter so didn't have to deal with that nonsense.

Unfortunately, going home is peak traffic for me, so going to cop it with all the tailgaters 😭
