Also I made a new acc so I can use Voyager! Previously used @SmoochyPit@beehaw.org.

My main reason for moving to Lemmy/Kbin was to have 3rd party app support, and Beehaw ceasing Lemmy updates has now prevented that (for Voyager, at least). I still love Beehaw though, but the website is really bad on mobile.

Anyways I’ll comment a picture when this print finishes 🙏

I wouldn’t recommend printing that vertical, even if it makes cleanup easier, as it will be much more prone to snapping

Definitely would’ve been easier to print (less tinkering with slicer settings), too. But I think because the layer time was so quick, it’s surprisingly well-bonded.

That’s still the first direction it’s snap in, but I think it’s good enough for my use-case.

When your printer is well tuned there is a lot more room to ignore best practice I guess :)

Haha, welllllll fwiw I had to tinker with slicer settings for a few iterations before 😅 keeping the raft in place for the top layers was a bit tricky.
