Star Wars (A New Hope) - Lucas had a particular age of audience in mind. I was that age when it was released, and he hit the target.
1970?
Lucas has said that we wanted it to appeal to 12 year olds - and I was.
1965 then.
I was much younger when it came out and was transfixed... but also fell asleep before it was over.
