Should I wait for the rotation and outlaw junction to spend my gold or do a few "Jump In!"s now to get more cards?

I think that's a good plan. Also, once you've accumulated some wildcards and are thinking about building a constructed deck, check out one of the internet's many resources for budget decklists. I'm partial to SaffronOlive's "Budget Magic" series, which you can consume in either video or text format.
