The term "Slava Ukraini" originated from a far right theorist back in the 1910s and was frequently used by far right nationalist groups and Nazi organizations. In particular, "The greeting "Glory to Ukraine!(Slava Ukraini) Glory to the heroes!" became an official slogan of Stepan Bandera's Nazi-allied OUN-B in April 1941. During World War II, Ukrainian nationalists often used it in addition to a roman salute."
