There should be a Lego library where you can borrow a set, build it, then return it. They'd sanitise it between builds. There'd be a fee if you return it without deconstructing it.

I say this because I like putting them together but I don't want to display ugly Lego on my shelves. I'm not leaning that hard into the 40+ year old single male stereotype and I just think they look bad in general.

That's a good idea.

I ain't gonna display them. It's not even the real lego. I just like pulling shit apart and putting it back together so Lego kind of scratches that itch.

Pull it apart. Keep the instructions but use the bits for free play.

Loaning kits of anything involves counting all the pieces when they come back. Very expensive in staff time.
