On the one hand, yes. Tiny petrol motor is no comparison to the turbo diesel torque of my work van, let alone EV which I have now acquired a taste for.
It is a seriously bad accelerator design though. The pedal does practically nothing for the first 60% of travel... Then you push a little further and it kicks back half a dozen gears and revs to a brazilian RPM. There's no gentle acceleration outside of the fact that "full acceleration" is still fairly gentle.
Needs a more linear application of throttle.
I actually don't mind the vehicle as a whole. Comfortable, good driving position, nice size for carparks but still big enough to stash heaps of gear in. I'd buy an EV version!
Damn, just poorly designed then, I thought it was the lack of the vehicle being an EV. Oh well, at least you will not need to be showing off in any street races with this car.
