How prevalent is sleep paralysis? I can't say I've ever experienced it, and I've definitely never seen any kind of sleep paralysis demon. Are yall ok?

The one time it happened to me, I was wearing a sleep mask. I felt strongly that someone entered my room and was walking towards me even though I couldn't see anything. It was really intense. The moment I was able to move again and take off my mask, I realized what happened and was a bit disappointed I didn't get to see what horror my paralysis demon would end up being.

Had it for years as a kid. Sometimes wake up paralysed 6-7times a night. Fucking ducked. It finally went away when I started ignoring the fear and going back to sleep.

I've had pretty severe sleep phase disorder and got it when I was really spent, about once a month.

For me at least it didn't really look like a demon, it's more of a feeling. That and exploding head syndrome is pretty awful. Didn't get that too often.

Nowadays I'm on low dosage anti psychotics and I sleep when I want. I'm still not entirely caught up on missed sleep but my exploding and paralytic friends leave me alone, fortunately.

I had it happen to me once over a decade ago when I was in middle school. I don't remember much on what it felt like.
