I figured the best way to get this info would be to ask the locals, any help is appreciated.

I'm planning on arriving around 10am in Stockholm, sightseeing for most of the day, then going by train to visit my friend who lives a 3h long ride away. I'll stay over in his house, so I don't need to include housing costs. I'll most likely spend 2-3 nights there and go back to Poland.

Approximately how much will I need if I want to go to 1-2 mid range restaurants, do a bit of sightseeing in Stockholm, try out some of the local beer and buy relatively basic groceries? Assume that I might need to buy 2-4 train tickes for a ~3h long ride, use the public transport quite a bit and visit a bar or two

Can't you just use your card? Many places won't even take cash

Yes, cash is pretty much useless in Sweden.

I don't even know what our bills looks like. I would never accept cash for anything.

I just recently started working at a store and I am actually surprised by the amount of customers that pay with cash. I would never pay cash myself or accept it if i had my own business. My guess is that people use it at that store because its one of very few stores that actually accepts cash. Although I think most restaurants and trains don't accept cash, so it would be useless for OP.
