I figured the best way to get this info would be to ask the locals, any help is appreciated.

I'm planning on arriving around 10am in Stockholm, sightseeing for most of the day, then going by train to visit my friend who lives a 3h long ride away. I'll stay over in his house, so I don't need to include housing costs. I'll most likely spend 2-3 nights there and go back to Poland.

Approximately how much will I need if I want to go to 1-2 mid range restaurants, do a bit of sightseeing in Stockholm, try out some of the local beer and buy relatively basic groceries? Assume that I might need to buy 2-4 train tickes for a ~3h long ride, use the public transport quite a bit and visit a bar or two

Do you mean in cash?

Because I think most of those expenses can just be bought by card, so you don’t need to worry about carrying cash.

Depending on what you want to do while sightseeing, I don’t see how this would cost anywhere over 5000kr, and that’s just if the train tickets are expensive or the restaurants pricy.
