A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.
Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

RIF on Android only. Once that stops working on July 1, I'm done with reddit.
Hey same! I got the notification in the app today and decided to make the leap to lemmy. Really hoping this takes off and come July 1st I'll be accustomed to using this platform instead.
I think I'm going to like it here, and the low volume of posts at the moment actually just encourages me to make posts of my own. It feels much more like I'm contributing to a community. I'm very glad these donation-based alternatives are becoming popular. There's no reason we have to monetize socializing.
Same! I've posted more on this platform than I ever did on Reddit.
