More terrible range estimates incoming.

Jalopnik is mostly just quoting stuff from another article that was quoting forum posts. So its basically hearsay at this point. Still, its further evidence that Cybertruck's range is utter crap (and these original posts seem legitimate, as they originate from pro-Tesla sites).

There's redundant air lines and valves in the wheel arches which are connected to the already existing internal tyre inflation system.

I'm not a musk sympathiser, in fact I massively dislike him. I'm just telling you that this thing is designed to float eventually with some external floats.

They did it with the M551 Sheridan and that's 15000kg

I mean, any car will float with external floats

Yes, any train or plane would do that too. Your comment doesn't make must worng.

My point it already has the hardware and capability to theoretically inflate and deflate those hypothetical external floats by itself.

I'm just pointing out musk probably at least did have a plan for the boat thing although who fucking knows what (if any) will actually come of it

Oh, I see what you're saying. I didn't make the connection between air lines for the tires and external floats

It will never work that way. I'm also highly doubtful in the range extender materializing.

Then why does it explode when it gets wet?
