I can guarantee that Nintendo doesn't even remotely care about the game. Pokemon is the best selling IP of all time iirc, so they basically have no reason to change.

It's sad. I used to love the games but now they're just 70% mashing the A button to get through the slowest text boxes known to man

Yea after S&V were best sellers despite being basically "Sonic 06 but with pokémon", I expect literally nothing from GameFreak and neither should you.
