I discovered that issue with how it gets converted to spaces with some editors. It's a hell of a lot more resilient than I thought it would be, to be honest. Random pastes between apps should have nuked some of the characters, I thought.

Just off the top of my head, maybe a browser extension (or an existing one that allows you to parse content) could help detect this stuff.
