That doesn't change the fact that a shitload of people didn't turn up to vote because they, like you said, didn't want to settle. They didn't like Clinton or Trump. So they just didn't vote.

And here we are.

False comparison. They didn't show up to vote because they are apathetic. The ones who cared showed up and voted, just not for bad candidates. There's other races than President.

(As an aside, Secretary Clinton was a good candidate anyway.)

It was a 20 year low, so yeah, id say 2016 is a good thing to bring up when claiming we should simply not vote for the lesser evil. And they were apathetic because we had absolute shit people to choose from.
