My recent hobby is making nice looking ice cubes. My SO doesn't appreciate at all how nice my energy drink + vodka looks now.

How are you making your ice cubes? And are they fresh?
Boil the water and let it sit in room temperarure for a few hours. Freeze as slowly as possible, e.g. outside when it's only a few degrees below freezing.
