Welcome to !reddit. This is a community for all news and discussions about Reddit.

The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

Rules

Rule 1- No brigading.

**You may not encourage brigading any communities or subreddits in any way. **

YSKs are about self-improvement on how to do things.

Rule 2- No illegal or NSFW or gore content.

**No illegal or NSFW or gore content. **

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-Reddit posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.

If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

:::spoiler Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

Reddit improved their anti-ban evasion system, cuz it's the sixth or more failed attempt at evading a permanent ban. Never more, I am staying here.

FUCK YOU, SPEZ!

I got banned for telling some right wing troll to go fuck themselves and can’t get around their ban evasion now either. Reddit got really soft and bans for any “personal attack”

Can you get around it if you suffix every comment with "Nothing personal."

Fuck you. Nothing personal.

To be extra sure, also preface it:

No offense, but fuck you. Nothing personal.

[–] altima_neo@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 year ago

You mean, "nothing personnel, kid"

[–] _haha_oh_wow_@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You can definitely get around it, but is it really worth the effort?

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They started banning much more freely shortly before the whole 3P API fuckery - surely as another part of the IPO prep. I was getting banned for relatively innocuous comments, and would always get my account reactivated a week after appealing. My last appeal was accepted during the blackout, but I just never bothered to log back on ...

Their ban system was always very broken and the appeal system slow and shitty.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Yeah, my point is they suddenly became significantly more aggressive.

And this place isn't? I was banned for the following comment the other day:

Can't find a single link to methodology or what the population was. Unless my Google is horrific I would take this with a grain of salt. Men are definitely overrepresented. However in my 15 years of experience working in the field I've seen maybe one overt case of sexism. I can count on one hand times where I've heard a "under the radar" type problematic statement that I've needed to address. I do not believe this data is representative of anything in the US or EU from my personal experiences.

And

Good. This is a simple fucking trademark case and the union is going to lose hard. A first year JV could win this.

I even got one calling me genocidal but can't see it. I would love to see what I said that was genocidal lol.

Modlog is a disaster with tons of " I don't agree with you so I'm going to call you a troll and remove your comment". Go look for yourself.

Lol ignore the data listen to my datum!

Or:

"How anecdotal data makes you more smarter and correcter!"

[–] LemmyIsFantastic@lemmy.world -3 points 1 year ago

Are you dense? Line number one. Nothing was published.

[–] JewGoblin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I have a feeling this place is just like Reddit and Twitter before Elon, probably a ton of Democrat AKA government influence

[–] Fal@yiffit.net 0 points 1 year ago

This was my experience with lemmy.world too.

[–] JewGoblin@lemmy.world -4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Are you serious?

that's fucked
