Well, most of the farmers around me have millions in wealth. It is in land and machinery they mostly inherited, so not easy to spend. But it is supplemented each year with thousands in farm welfare. It is not a bad life. A single farmer friend of mine travels on big vacations at least 4 times a year,
Plus, even if your wealth is tied up in land, you can borrow against that asset for a cash loan. No farmer who owns their land is strapped for cash.
