I'll start:

  • RSS and blogs, news vs. social media
  • XMPP vs. WhatsApp/FB messenger/Snapchat
  • IRC vs. Matrix, Teams, Discord etc.
  • Forums vs. Social media, Reddit, Lemmy(?)

There’s a hacky effort to make this easier https://github.com/virtuald/ews-proxy

This connects to REST endpoints that Outlook web interface uses and translates it to EWS… which can be translated to IMAP
