I just got a new D4v2 quad 20W UV and have just cycled through the modes a few times and noticed the LEDs look burned out. I could understand if I used it on the turbo mode for a while but for just a few minutes used I'm a bit concerned and confused. Did I do something to damage it?

They do indeed look burnt. Pulled too many amps somehow, but I don't know your rig.

Is it just me, or does the math on that light not make sense? 20W total rated LED power but a 32W linear + FET driver? Are the LEDs rated on UV output not electrical input, and the difference in power is all lost as heat or visible light or something?

Also, I have no idea if they're on Lemmy but the owner of that website/store is very active on reddit, you could probably reach out there with questions.

Yeah I reached out the Jackson and he is replacing it and going to check out what might have gone wrong he is thinking it has the wrong emitters. He built me a replacement already. Great guy to work with.

Yeah, I'm thinking it has the wrong emitters. I figured that Jackson would take care of it.
