Bellingham as you can see is overperforming his xg drastically at this stage and that should normalise eventually. But if Joselu plays a decent bit of minutes this season (over 1700) he could be a top 3 scorer in the league.

Also love the box presence he offers the team, smth we haven't had since Morata and even that was as a backup. Having a central outlet occupying the CBs makes the creative players jobs so much easier.

He deserves much more respect and credit than he has gotten and never deserved the ... doubts in preseason.

Bellingham is the best midfielder in the world right now. It's interesting, because I remember a couple years ago where the conversation was about him being a passenger who was okay at everything but didn't really excel at anything and that was why he would've been a bad signing for Liverpool. He's doubled down on his strengths and become a marquee attacking midfielder. Such a joy to look at his progression.

I'll confess I made fun of Birmingham City for retiring the shirt number of a 17 yo leaving the club after playing for the first team for a few months. But the man has really proven himself at BVB, and with England and Madrid now.
