Bellingham as you can see is overperforming his xg drastically at this stage and that should normalise eventually. But if Joselu plays a decent bit of minutes this season (over 1700) he could be a top 3 scorer in the league.

Also love the box presence he offers the team, smth we haven't had since Morata and even that was as a backup. Having a central outlet occupying the CBs makes the creative players jobs so much easier.

He deserves much more respect and credit than he has gotten and never deserved the ... doubts in preseason.

Bellingham is the best midfielder in the world right now. It's interesting, because I remember a couple years ago where the conversation was about him being a passenger who was okay at everything but didn't really excel at anything and that was why he would've been a bad signing for Liverpool. He's doubled down on his strengths and become a marquee attacking midfielder. Such a joy to look at his progression.

I honestly can't pick a single issue in his game and he's just 20! One of the most complete players in world football.

I'll confess I made fun of Birmingham City for retiring the shirt number of a 17 yo leaving the club after playing for the first team for a few months. But the man has really proven himself at BVB, and with England and Madrid now.

And didn't realize Jude had nearly twice the goals to his xg. He seemed to always be getting at the end of decent chances!

Few but decent chances with great conversion actually. Very rarely gets a shot off target which is interesting.

I'll try looking for his goals per shot stat somewhere, wish fbref had that tbf

That sounds like a very basic stat, does fbref allow making your own stats out of their numbers since both shot volume and goals are available. Would be interestimg to see this in percentile.

Idk, think they source the data from opta. Would probably need to know to code to find the stats and that I can't.
