The radiation is the equivalent of a chest x ray. Not great, not terrible.
Whoever downvotes really needs to watch Chernobyl on HBO.
I'm not a fan of Apple but saying that this radiation is akin to gamma radiation in some way its just ignorant.

I thought it was EM radiation
All radiation (x-rays included), radio waves, and visible light are on the EM spectrum. It's just the wavelength that differentiates them.
It's all EM, but you're thinking along the right lines
I think the term you want is "non ionizing" radiation
