For this reason I'm trying to book appointments and run errands in the morning in order to be productive the rest of the day.
I do this too, but thankfully I've also managed to break my day in half so it's no longer "can't do anything all day" but "can't do anything else this morning until this" and "can't do anything after lunch until this".
I've found this solution as well. Unfortunately that just ends in my being mentally exhausted at 1pm and angry at myself for not getting anything else done.
I am inconsistent. Some days I can get everything done in the morning, be productive the rest of day and then some days, I am mentally exhausted by 1 pm. It’s frustrating.
This is why I like working early in the morning. I can roll out of bed and start my day as soon as my feet hit the ground if there's no down time. On my days off, the things that don't need doing immediately likely won't be considered before 10am despite getting up at 5.
This was the only way I could get essays done when studying, get out of bed at 5 and start immediately - nothing to distract. Now I have children I have to get up at 5 every morning so I can never study again 😭
