OK well, first dose of Elvanse this morning, seems gentler than the Ritalin / methylphenidate. I'm more patient and chilled. Still couldn't be arsed to hoover the kitchen though! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I used to start to feel strung out on methylphenidate mid afternoon, so we'll see...

I started taking methylphenidate recently, but went through a stressful patch and suspect it contributed to a period of bad anxiety. That's mostly better now, and the doc prescribed me vyvanse (Elvanse here in UK) instead.

Pretty terrified it will trigger anxiety again so I've not touched it. Considering just taking the odd methylphenidate here and there as it doesn't last all day.

Anyone willing to share relevant experiences? Not looking to be told what to do, I will make my own decisions... ๐Ÿ˜‰

This was the only way I could get essays done when studying, get out of bed at 5 and start immediately - nothing to distract. Now I have children I have to get up at 5 every morning so I can never study again ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Interesting, I recently read Slow River by Nicola Griffith, a gay and disabled writer. That had similar criticism all over Goodreads for being non-linear. Interesting to see why the author may have done this now, the themes of the novel tie in with this theory.

I would add, as an ex fundamentalist, my deconversion absolutely followed this non linear route. I've often compared the process of deconversion to coming out, and although I'm straight cis, this is another aspect that resonates with my experience.

Hi, I have everything on Google these days. I'd quite like to get away from it to some extent at least. I can't see that's going to be easy, particularly on Android. But ChromeOS, Google drive and email seems like a good place to start, any suggestions or good guides?

Thanks!
