Are there alternatives to platforms like youtube and twitch. (lemmy.fmhy.ml)

I do like watching videos on theses platforms but if your someone who wants to create gaming or random videos then youtube feels overcrowded. is there a less overcrowded, option to look into, and im still debating if i should watch videos or make videos as a hobby. you all got any tips or suggestions aswell by chance?

Odysee is also highly recommended.

Odysee actively delists those people AFAIK... however Odysee I dont think is FLOSS, thus peertube is on a higher list than odysee... However peertube production value is still lacking in comparsion to odysee... (I do not have any political affiliation)

Youtube and other sites, like reddit rely on people using them and creating stuff to keep people around, odysee and peertube are no different in that regard.

I don't really use them because most of the people I like are on Youtube, and there are pretty good youtube clients.
