Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

You can use freerdp - so an existing flatpakket with xfreerdp/freerdp can be a great starting point
Afaik there’s no ms provided azure virtual desktop client for Linux
So...freerdp does NOT include a GUI...right? Just trying to figure it out. Thanks!
No - it’s cli only. But I think there are 3rd party ones if shell is not your thing.
But IMO you should start familiarising with shell if you plan on staying with Linux - there’s probably options/settings and commands that are not part of gui for many different parts of your system.
I'm sure familiar with CLI, no worries. I just don't think a full remote desktop tool which has hundreds of switches/options and needs to go through SSO custom addresses and 2-factor is at its best on CLI mode.
