Is that a configuration or a software problem?

Everytime I post something, it has a "francais" label next to it, while I post on non-french communities...

If I select both "francais" and "english" in my languages, will it fix it?

I always post as "unspecificied' or "undetermined", yet my post still appear as "french", and I check everytime

This is my view of your profile:

The last post I can see in you profile that says French was to antitaff@jlai.lu

That community doesn't accept posts in 'unspecified'. In their API response, it says:
"discussion_languages": [47]
47=French. If it also allowed unspecified, it would say [0, 47]

So it may be that you're selecting 'unspecified', but in order for it to actually post, it's going through as 'French'. This is probably better than just erroring.

Hello, moderator of some communities on jlai.lu, that's exactly this.

The moderators have only allowed French as a language, which is why OP's content is tagged as such.

ok so maybe it defaults to french when I post on that instance, and then it makes it the default choice when I post elsewhere after?

Seems likely, yeah.

I think communities can have their own language setting?
