Being in school, college makes making friends much easier as opposed to when you are working a job.

Yes, but try to go to some dance lessons, sports activities etc., people are there and they probably also want to make friends, like real ones, not temporary.

Some dancers will only be interested in socializing with better dancers. Something to be aware of.
