8bitdo has a couple of smaller controllers that are compatible with the Switch that might be worth looking into:
https://www.8bitdo.com/zero2/ — really small, only has a single d-pad but you can assign the d-pad functionality with like a phone app or a PC app to map it to a stick. Might be good for small hands.
https://www.8bitdo.com/lite-se/ — a controller designed for accessibility, the triggers and shoulder buttons have been moved to the front of the controller for easier access and everything is mappable with an app.
I don’t think 8bitdo controllers are compatible with PS4/PS5 but they make for good Switch and PC controllers by my experience.
Thanks, I might look into the snes with handle type of controller(cause they look smaller) instead since he does need stick and triggers for rocket league. I just wish the buttons/sticks are as good as official controllers.
I have several of the SN30 Pro controllers, one Pro2 controller and one Ultimate Bluetooth controller and they’re quite good. I would say the sticks are of decent quality on the SN30/Pro2 models but not as good as the Ultimate Bluetooth controller, which I also have and would say is the best of the them all. The Ultimate is pretty small but feels nice, and the Bluetooth version has Hall effect sticks so they’re far less prone to drift. All in all, I’ve never had an issue with any of the controllers, and my daughter was able to comfortably use the SN30 models since she was 4, if that helps at all.
Thanks a lot!!
