She was massive in the nineties. Then she tore up a picture of Pope John Paul II to protest the child abuse the church was covering up and she got absolutely slated for it. She pretty much became a recluse after that so it’s not really surprising you don’t know of here.
When the whole #metoo movement got big, people remebered her as the one who stood up against institutionalised sexual abuse before it was cool
