This man is out of his mind. Why buy Twitter for 44 bn USD and then trash the brand? A smart man would have done it the other way around and then bought it for far less. But what do I know right, I don't play Musks 4D chess

The point wasn't to take a successful brand over to make money, it was to have direct control over the narrative being pushed across social media.

Imagine your facebook-addicted uncle complaining about the woke platform that he uses all day every day. Then imagine he has the money to buy facebook, as well as the hubris to think he could do a better job running it. That’s basically what happened here.

Before he was forced to buy Twitter, he was making money off pump and dump schemes. Look at his history with crypto. This time, he bit off more then he could and was forced to follow through with his threat to buy twitter.

Exactly, he bought it by accident.
