What is a ruin? We’re running off of “You know it when you see it” at the moment. Ruins should be non-functioning structures of some age, or their function reduced to tourism and the like.
Generally speaking, specific items from a ruin should go to !historyartifacts@lemmy.world
Illustrations of ruins (or their reconstructions) should go to !historyillustrations@lemmy.world
Photos of ruins back when they were functioning should go to !HistoryPorn@lemmy.world

An unskilled rock climber could scale that wall easily. Heck, a 6th grader with no training, and no gear could. But it's a different story when hot oil, arrows, and rocks are being dumped upon you.
It's like a V2 at worst
For trad it looks like it's 5.1-5.4. Possibly a 5.5-5.6 depending on how steep it actually is when beneath it, and how large the mortise gaps are. But if you look at the tower in the foreground, you can see that they were considerate enough to put handholds every 5 or so vertical feet.
lol I wouldn’t say a 6th grader with no gear could climb that.
Have you ever seen a kid climb a tree, or a jungle gym? They're like little monkeys!
I bet if enough tried, they could do it by climbing the dead sixth grader staircase. And then you'd technically be wrong.
It’s all part of FOX’s Must See TV Thursday night game show Are You Deader Than A Sixth Grader.
