I mean mushrooms in general, I pick mushrooms in forest and have to know which are poisonous.
I also pick mushrooms in the forest and have to know which ones are poisonous. With only a couple of exceptions, most are either poisonous for the first time (and then continuing after) or not poisonous at all. Until you start getting into eating some of them in large quantities and differences in people's digestive systems.
Anyway, matsutake are perfectly safe to eat more than once unless you specifically have some sort of sensitivity to mushrooms in general.
Don't forget that most mushrooms are poisonous/inedible raw you have to cook them with few exceptions.
I would love to forage but the risk of eating something poisonous definitely puts me off doing it
