I don't get why democrats don't push this harder. 2020 was horrible for almost everyone, and you can acknowledge that things still aren't perfect while making a bare minimum effort to stop Republicans from rewriting history.

Because Americans are sick of hearing about covid and dumb enough to think its gone if they don't pay attention to it. The covid messaging didn't even pass internal testing of the campaigns, it simply does nothing but strengthen the covid deniers and shores up their Republican votes instead of letting them get apathetic or even voting dem.

People have the memory of goldfish, and pushing negative issues or expressing issues from reality, can make people angry and could make them feel hopeless and shut down. Getting people positive about the future and what will happen if given the opportunity is a better message on a national level.
