That would have been a fantastic idea, tbh.
All they has to do was release. Press statement thanking the 3rd party devs, acknowledging their effort and contributions, and saying they are taking reddit in a new direction that precludes the third party apps.
Indeed. Like I would have paid them too instead of leaving. That was like RIGHT THERE for monetization. I don't know how they missed that.
