The downvotes on this comment are a testament to the privilege of drivers. It's crazy how good people, who would otherwise not break the law, believe it's their right to speed. And before someone tells me it's a victimless crime I'll remind everyone that speeding kills both those inside and outside of your car.
Do you legitimately believe getting in an accident going the speed limit on the highway is less dangerous than 5 or 10 mph hours over?
Kinetic energy = 1/2mv^2 where v is ur velocity.
So yes, going over the speed limit starts becoming exponentially more dangerous per unit of speed u go above the limit.
Highway speeds are already dangerous. Living in utter fear of people marginally over the speed limit to think an irritating beep is justified the moment you exceed the limit is a sad existence to torment yourself with.
Yep. N the pussies downvoting aren't even providing an explanation as to why. The answer to "why" is exactly as you said- they don't give a shit about people outside their car. It's their god given right to speed lmao.
God forbid they care about anyone else's safety. Maybe they'll get t-boned by a speeding idiot and have a change of heart.
Nobody is outside my car on desolate highways.
Soooo there aren't other cars outside?
They are speeding the same as me, and luckily there is a lane to the right you can use if you arent. So far ive seen no accidents except people doing dumb shit in semis.
