From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

What Linux distribution or distributions do you personally use?

I myself am a daily Void user. I used to use Devuan, but wanted to try rolling release and ended up loving Void!

I was considering a switch to it and put it on my play-puter to see what it was like. Despite the alpha status, it was perfectly usable and I didn't have a single crash, perhaps I got lucky. I ended up staying with Tumbleweed in the end.

How come you went back to tumbleweed?

It wasn't for me. I felt it took away a lot of my control and did things its way which would be fine if it matched my use case.
