Anybody want anything from Aldi while I'm down there? Milk, bread, power tool?

[โ€“] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Eggs. Local colesworth was fresh out of them last night. 1 doz of the largest size with the longest useby date please.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Oooo. You are pushing your luck there love. How about I pop over to the local IGA and get you a 30 pack of farm fresh eggs. You can share with your neighbours.

Thank you very kindly. Trade goods rating AAAAA++. Should be able to swap for tomato seedlings at the very least.

Ooh, may I please have some salted pretzel chocolate? Thank you! And if there's something crafty and cheap from the Middle Aisle of Dreams, that would be so fun, thank you!

[โ€“] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Laundrite powder and Logix Platinum dishwasher tablets. And chocolate!

[โ€“] Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Some beef mince, burger buns, cheese, bacon and sauce if you wouldn't mind.

I'm craving burgers!

I think I am too now.

[โ€“] Cendana@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

2 boxes of spinach and ricotta flavour potato gratin please.

Noted. I'll also grab you a box of their spinach mini quiches to try because they are really good.

@CEOofmyhouse56
Their dark choc is better than most other brands that sell for twice the price.

Gin! mine is always out of gin!

Noted. Tonic with that?

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Felafel mix please, theirs is quite good

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Question. What's in a falafel mix? I've only ever made them from scratch.

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Itโ€™s really just pre-herbed flour. But if you donโ€™t do much else with besan itโ€™s handy rather than having loads of plain in the house for moths to get at.

Interesting because when you make them from scratch you don't put much flour in. Maybe just a small sprinkle if it's too moist for frying.

some lactose free milk please, do they have lactose free condensed milk?

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

No. I've never seen condensed milk there but I have seen evaporated milk.

They do have lactose free milk both fresh and long life.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

evaporated is actually what I meant , it's for in coffee

Oh. I had a look for condensed anyway and they do have it. Wasn't there when I needed it.

Hmmโ€ฆ Iโ€™m a fan of the Trimat sensitive laundry sauce, the dark chocolate, and I used to like the Lacura red tub face cream. (Do they still have it?)

The soy milk and bread are also the same thing as elsewhere, pretty solid

They have a lot of alternative long life milks for cheaper.

I think they still have the red Lacura but it's a special buy. I'll see what I can magic up.
